Life at the Cottage

So, I live in Juliets cottage. AKA "the cottage." Casey and I are downstairs, and Stormi and Hannah are upstairs. We never talked... like hardly ever last semester. This semester, like recently we're just best friends. It's so much fun! It's like we have a larger apartment now! Plus, more friends always here. Great times! Margaritas at 3 in the AM, warhead otter pops, and plenty of laughs. The rest of this semester will be epic.

Peace and blessins

Week Going Quickly

It seems as if yesterday I was driving home from Vernal; that was four days ago... Time seems to be going very quickly these days. I never have time for anything. It's one of those days where I could really use a three wishes. For today I would wish for time, completed mission papers, and to spend more time with my sisters and family.

Today my friend Sara McQuivey came to Cedar to visit! YAY! We will have a blast tomorrow going to St. George. I am going to attempt to sell my plasma again. Since my weight loss my veins have improved a lot; hopefully enough for an extra $200 a month... I also need some flip flops, and a belt. And we're treating Sara to Nielson's Frozen Custard for her birthday, which was on Saturday. WE MISSED IT! But, I have zero access to Facebook for the moment and get no reminders.

I'm missing the festival of colors this weekend. BOO! I was really excited to go, but I'd rather save the money to driving all the way to Salt Lake and back within 24 hours just to get chalk thrown on me; although it sounds like a blast.

I should get some sleep.

Spring Break

SO, this spring break started great, dragged in the middle, and is now ending great. At first I was really upset because I really wanted to go to Cali for a couple days. I didn't want to be one of those losers that just went home for their week off school; well I guess I'm a loser. Money reasons and such I just decided to go home.

The Friday I got home was GREAT. I had one of the best nights with my sister, and had an original night with the gang, minus Amber and Casey; AKA Ali, Melinda, William, and me. It was great. Then Saturday I just spent Ali. HA I just realized I talked about this earlier. WELL the first weekend was great.

From about Monday to Thursday, I did practically nothing. I slept in until about 11 every day, and sometimes exercised. Some days I had lunch with friends, others I didn't. I've done something every night, but I have to or else I go insane. I wish I had spent more time doing homework, because now I have too much to do, with so little time and so much happening for the rest of the break. But isn't time the wish of wishes? Anyway I did do SOME homework today, but mostly I just realized the people I missed the most. I had a great time with Melinda, William, Jade, and Casey doing practically nothing simultaneously doing everything; great night.

I've received great realizations this week. Number one, not falling to Satan in these last days means being closer to the Lord, more than ever. Number two, family is most important. Number three, who my true friends are, and always will be. Number four, my desire to serve a mission and its importance. Number five, what the future might/will hold. Number six, the importance of prayer. Number seven, twitter mobile is a jolly good time. Number eight, dating should be a fun thing.

I think this might be a new habit of mine! I've learned a lot more this week than I had thought. Anyway, all of these things are really important and of course I've thought about them before, but I have received SPECIAL realizations for all of these inspiring thoughts that made them sort of obtrusive to my laziness this week. My one thought is that I've been so bad at blogging in the past, I wonder if anyone is reading my posts? I don't think so :D Oh well! Great start to a journal. I prefer typing anyway.

Surprise of El Pantolones

Well something amazing happened when I woke up Saturday. I just peeked in my old closet just for fun, and found about 7 pairs of pants that fit me!! Because of my weight loss, my current jeans tend to... well fall off my butt, literally; I can't keep them on. So I was upset because I'd have to spend my forthcoming tax refund money on new clothes that actually fit. I was so glad I found all of these! It was like Christmas, but several months early.

They're all American Eagle jeans so I love them, and probably very close to what I'd be buying anyway! Plus, they look great :) SO, if anyone loses weight, look in the back of your closet; I'm sure there'll be a lil surprise for you.

Luck for all

Experiencing the Love of Reading

I love reading. I love finding those books that you just can't put down. I would choose that feeling any day over the TV. I really need some input on some good books to read. I was given Leven Thumps to me several years ago as an Easter present from my parents, and I loved the book. I then received the next two books of the trilogy several years later. Of course I needed to re-read the first book. Well that didn't work out too well. I re-started the Harry Potter series, and Leven Thumps sorta got pushed aside... BUT I've decided to hold off Harry Potter until after school is over. So I'm thinking of reading those books :) BUT after those, what next? It's up to you. Please let me know of some awesome books. I'm into anything. OOO I've also considered starting the Hunger Games trilogy, thoughts? Let me know!

Rat out.

Sundays in Vernal

I love Sundays. They are days to relax, and think about what is important. Today I spent 5 hours at church; this is outstanding for me because of the fact I haven't been in a while do to travel and sleeping through my alarm... But two hours of that was spent singing. I love singing in church choirs. I feel like I'm sharing my talent and also I love the spirit music brings. This week was different as my friend Amber Rust was not here. It was different attending this ward without her there! But, I still miss that ward, and am eager to move back to attend it full time.

I also had the opportunity to visit my grandparents. I love visiting family. Even if I just sit there and listen to the endless conversations about the past, present, and future (which are always the same) I feel like a child again going to visit grandma and grandpa.

This weekend has already been one to put in the books. After a 6 hour adventure home, I had date night with my sister Nicky. It was the funnest time I've had with her in a long time, mostly because we didn't do anything. We just chilled, and watched a movie. Of course treats were involved, they never can't be in the Gardner family. But I just loved spending time with her. I'm glad I will be here another week, because we are definitely doing that again.

Saturday I spent the day with my friend Ali. Hahaahhah the good ol' days of just eating, movies, and doing nothing. We also got to see our high schools production of "The Scarlet Pimpernel" which was pretty good, and very humorous. We then went to Jades house to celebrate her birthday. I had a blast that night; spending it with my high school friends (besides Amber of course and several others).

I'm really excited to have a laid back week at home. My mom has already been extra nice doing my laundry, and having breakfast ready for me when I wake up. It's just a large treat after living on my own for so long. I do have homework to do, but 7 days is a lot; I can take a couple days off :) Right?

The thing I loved the most is when my niece Gracy called me Uncle Freakerd. That was THE funniest thing I have ever heard. It made me laugh hysterically. Freakerd is one of my many nicknames at home, and Gracy must have picked it up from Nicky and linked it to my name. Because she called me both all night. First it was Rhet, then it was Freakerd, then came Uncle Freakerd. But she called me Rhet some more. I just couldn't help but to laugh.

Day One: Gotta Love Lent

Well Facebook says it so it must be true, I gave up Facebook for lent. For those of you who don't know what lent is, it's a Catholic belief of sacrifice and self-improvement for 40 days as an allusion to Jesus. The period is from Ash Wednesday until Easter Sunday. One chooses something to give up for those 40 days, but it has to be something unexpected for that individual to give up.

Although I'm Mormon, I thought this is a really cool belief that can only better myself. Although day one has already proven how much I actually use Facebook, I plan to continue with the Facebook Fast until April 20th.

To stay connected, I'm going to once again attempt to blog. I then can somewhat fill a void, and inform people of what is going on. HOORAY!

So you if you need to contact me we must use other means of communication; email, text, or even phone calls.

Peace and blessin's ya'll, peace and blessin's.
