Imma be a doctor! Maybe not...

Hello to all my dedicated readers! It's been quite a week, weekend, and night. All week I've just been trying to grasp and fully understand the concept of proofs pertaining to trigonometric identities; this is not so fun. I have no idea why we are required to prove these theories. I feel as if this should be left up to math majors, and people who do math problems as a hobby. I have actually REALLY enjoyed trig this semester, like to a creepy level of liking math. BUT this chapter could just go die and I don't think many people would miss it. This weekend was just weird in the sense of the activities that were done. Nothing bad or anything of course, but it was as if my friends and I did everything, while doing nothing! Ever happened to anyone before? Also it was conference, so many hours were spent learning, remembering, and planning. Tonight consisted of constant studying. And the weird thing is that I enjoyed it. :/ What am I becoming??

Haha sometimes I feel as if Casey and I copy one another. Although I know most ideas are original, we always seem to be thinking and planning for the same things. Literally the same time I was discussing changing my major and future plans with friends and family, Casey was doing the same. We both thrive and excel in our political science class, and I've been giving a great deal of my thinking time to a major in political science. What would my career aspirations be with a degree in political science? What could my emphasis be in? Would I enjoy it as much or as more as a career in medicine? So much to consider! In high school many students turn to one teacher for advice, or even just to talk to... Ms. Mary Moulton. I did just that! Because of her degree in political science, and the fact that she introduced the subject to me in my first American government course, I decided to confront her about her feelings of me pursuing a degree in political science. Hopefully we are on the same page here.

Several ideas: law school? International studies? Business?

Previously I had contemplated a career requiring law school, so why not think it over again? I have always fancied a career requiring graduate school because... because. I really don't know why, besides more knowledge and greater earnings.
I love traveling and spending time in other cultures; what greater way to do so than a career in international affairs or relations?
Business has somewhat been a forte and an interest for me. I always enjoyed my participation in DECA and FBLA. There are various careers in the business field requiring a political science degree.

There is so much to think about, and I truly enjoy all of these so why not second guess myself? I mean just because I feel I would love the medical field because I liked drawing blood doesn't mean I should wager the next 15 years of my life; along with $300,000 of debt. Honestly, that is so much money. And yes financially medicine would be worth it, but after my mission I could receive an undergraduate degree in two years and even pursue graduate school, and complete my schooling in 2-6 years with a degree in something I love, and feel as if I could thrive in. If I pursue medicine, life would be hard trying to fulfill service, leadership, and shadowing hours while earning good grades. And a job will be a REQUIREMENT for me as a student in an expensive urban city like Salt Lake. Kill me now. Don't get me wrong I still would love a career in the medical field, I am just realizing I love other things just as much.

Well friends I must now return to studying before going to sleep...
Night Night

PS. Let me know what you think about a political science major, and a career you could see me doing. Also about med school and which you think is more me. OH! Also there is another option for me, I can pursue med school with a degree of anything as long as I do the prerequisites. SO I COULD do a political science major and still do med school. Just a thought!
